Thank you Beth for all your hard work and inspiring passion with CASE. And thanks for letting another "Beth" crash your party. :) We will miss you so much! Best of luck to you with your new job. -Beth Eiserloh
I'll never forget the first time I met Beth at Blue Devil Weekend - I was so inspired by her dedication to CASE and social enterprise. It was infectious - in large part due to her, it was an obvious choice for me to attend Fuqua. Since that time, she has become a valued mentor (& neighbor) of mine. I'll really miss her - please stay in touch!
Best wishes, Suzanne Steffens
Beth:
You have made an incredible "footprint" Fuqua and CASE. Thank you for your contributions, as mentor, advisor and friend. Congratulations on your new role.
All the best, Gita
Somehow it doesn't seem real that you won't be down the hall anymore. I'm glad you'll only be a few miles away, since I'm sure I'll still need your advice and insights frequently. My "encore career" never would have happened -- and never would have been so much fun -- without your support and assistance. I'm very grateful. May your new career be as enjoyable for you! Take care, Paul Bloom
Beth, I have loved your articulateness, your skill, and above all your passion for CASE and for social impact in general.
I look forward to staying in touch as you expand your horizons -- and continue to help us expand ours.

Beth, you will be sorely missed. You have been an inspiration to me and to many other members of the faculty, student body, and staff. Through your work with CASE, you've made a real difference here for the school and for all of the individuals and organizations you've helped.
We have been very very lucky to have you as a colleague, and we wish you the best. John Lynch
Beth, you have been a tremendous leader and inspiration to all of us at Fuqua. Your teachings and passions vibrate throughout all of your students. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our lives. Wishing you the very best (glad that you are not going far)!
To my favorite fellow "Lovett Lion"! I am so sad to see you go as you will be sorely missed but I am excited to see you enter this next stage of life! Thank you so much for all the passion that you have brought to CASE and to Fuqua. We have learned much from you!
Best wishes,
Natalie d'Aubermont Thompson
Hi Beth,
Best of luck, and congratulations on all of your efforts and successes since the "early days" of CASE!
Cheers,
John
Beth - I will definitely NOT say goodbye, because since you'll still be in Durham, I'll still insist on seeing you :)! But, I will say thank you for your friendship, your words of advice for both personal and professional issues, your dedication to excellence at CASE, your support for me and other social-impact students and grads, and your drive to advance social entrepreneurship as a profession and vocation. All the best! --Romy Parzick
Beth...Thank you for everything you've done for Duke, Fuqua, and SIC. I know I've said it before, but I truly believe you are the reason I came to Fuqua! Stay in touch! Best, Jenny Harms
Beth,
Thanks so much for all your advice and thoughts on the social sector. Your experience in both for profit and not-for-profit really allowed me to grasp a better understanding of how I wanted to spend my time post-graduation. Good luck with your new job. We will all miss you tons!
BJ Johar
Beth, thank you for all you've done for Fuqua and Duke University! You were one of the first people I met on my Admissions visit and you made quite an impression on me. You articulated Fuqua's commitment to issues in the social sector and were honest about what someone coming from the nonprofit world should expect in b-school. Thank you for your time and dedication to so many students over the years. Good luck with the next step!
Beth is someone we look up to. She has been a friend, an ally, and a source of inspiration for all of us. Beth - you will be sorely missed!

Beth, It has been a pleasure working with you. You are a special person and I wish you all the best. - Rhonda Adams
Beth,
Thank you for being an amazing friend and mentor. I know both of those will continue as your LAF (Life After Fuqua) begins:) I honestly can't think of anyone who had a bigger impact on my career than you and I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me. I look forward to staying in touch and catching up in person for drinks when I'm down in Durham. Best of luck and I know we'll stay in touch!
Jeff
Beth,
Your passion and commitment to social impact is inspiring. Thank you for one of the most engaging and well taught classes at Duke.

Beth, you made time for me when I first arrived at Fuqua; I was feeling very much like a fish out of water and you put me at ease and opened my eyes to great professional possibilities. You encouraged me as I found a summer internship, were a great touchstone as I tried to figure out what I wanted from work and life. And recently you have said the words I needed to hear regarding being a new mom and how that intersects with work. We have not overlapped much but always feel you are a kindred spirit. I hope you know the great positive impact you have on others. Very best of luck to you and your family, Maury Wray Bridges
Beth
Thanks for your taking the time to talk to my econ classes. These were insightful and inspired my students to think about exportability of entrepreneurship model to social objectives.Lets stay in touch . Henry Grabowski
Beth, thank you for your passion and inspiration! You have made an incredible impact on my life and the lives of many others. I can't wait to see what you're doing to do next.
- Jessica Thomas
Beth, Fuqua won't be the same without you! Thank you for your tireless efforts and dedication to social entrepreneurship. You've been an inspiration and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have worked with you. -Erin Langley
Beth-
You've been an inspiration two times over.
You took a risk and embraced an adventure in starting CASE, working in academia and being a pioneer in an uncemented field.
Now, after building so much here at Fuqua, you're taking another risk to leave & impact the world in a very direct way. I'm sure it's hard to leave a community that you've helped to create, but we admire you for following your passion. I hope that many of us cross paths with you as you move between academia and SE practice in the coming years.
In the meantime, we wish you the best of luck.
Otherwise Useless said: Fuqua would have been less of an experience without you, and it will be less of a place with you gone. CASE was the reason I went to FUQUA, you're the reason I got so much out of it. Thanks for your guidance, open-door policy, and for always supporting and indulging my general schizophrenia. Good luck in your new digs. ~Suneet
Beth,
Thank you for your help, guidance and for your generosity. I wish you good luck in your new career!

Beth,
You have inspired many to exceed expectations day after day. I will miss you tremendously and I know our community will too. I wish you the best.
Bonne chance!

Beth,
Thank you for being such a great mentor to me and to so many other Fuqua students over the years. I learned a tremendous amount from you and you inspired me to pursue great things in my career and in my life. It's very sad to see you leave Fuqua, but I wish you all the best in your new career!
Best,
Mark
Hi Beth,
I want to wish you well in your next endeavor and thank you for being such a great mentor and friend. I am sure that everyone at CASE will miss you. Please keep in touch!
Best wishes,
Denise Malvehy
Beth, you are such a fantastic person and an inspiration to us all. Thank you for being such a breath of fresh air, full of talent, joy, and dedication. Best of luck!
Beth, you are an incredible individual that I look up to. I am thankful for your readiness to listen to problems and provide thoughtful advice at any time, regardless of the million other things you have going on! We will definitely be touch and I wish you all the best.
- Hamid
Beth - It's been inspiring to see all the great progress CASE has made in recent years. You all have created an institution that's increasingly becoming the centerpiece of the Duke MBA program and a resource for the entire university. And to think... you were a freshly minted MBA when you got all mixed up in this. But as TFA and others know, you've really become one of the thought leaders in social entrepreneurship... and I can't wait to see what's next.
Thanks, too, for being a great friend. As many others have said, I've appeciated your open door and your willingness to delve into the confusion that has been my post-MBA job search.
Congrats again on a great tenure at CASE, and an exciting new opportunity at one of the world's leading social enterprises!
- Tim
Beth you are truly an inspiration! Thank you for always having the time to talk, share a word of advice, and laugh with me. TFA is lucky to get you! Please stay in touch. You will be greatly missed. All the best, Stephanie Nelson
Beth,
Thanks for your tireless work. You've made CASE the envy of other business schools and are a large reason SIC has become so effective and successful. I loved working with you during my time at Fuqua, and you will be sorely missed.
Beth (Lowe) Baum
Hi Beth, I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend your going away BBQ on Sunday, but I wanted to be sure to say thank you for all your work and commitment to CASE, Fuqua and Duke. A big part of the reason why my wife Carla will be coming to Fuqua next year was because of her conversations with you. Best wishes in your next adventure.
Jim O'Brien
Hi Beth!
Such a loss for CASE that you are leaving but congratulations on your new job! They are lucky to have you! In my mind though, CASE will always = Beth Anderson - you made it what it was and we are all richer for it. Thanks for supporting and believing in us - you will be missed!
Best of luck,
Sarah Yellin
Beth,
Many thanks for the guidance, resources and open ear you provided me during my tenure at Fuqua. I know that you will be missed by so many different circles. Best of luck!
Christine Murashige
Beth,
Thanks for all of your contributions to the Fuqua community. You've helped establish Fuqua as a leader in Social Entrpreneurship and your efforts will have a lasting legacy. I'll always appreciate the support you and the CASE program gave me in finding a wonderful intership at Self-Help. All the best as you join Teach for America.
Regards,
Patrick Gilbert '04
Beth~
You have been an inspiration and a true leader to all. I will miss having you around these halls but I know you are off to do amazing things with Teach America - they are lucky to have you. It has been a true pleasure working with and getting to know you. All the best!

Beth,
From one who has known you since the beginning, Beth, you continue to make Dad & me so proud! All of your honors and accomplishments continue to astound us. I had no idea that you were making such a dramatic impact on Fuqua. You are certainly leaving big footprints to fill.
I continue to be amazed at all of your accomplishments that you seem to attain with such ease. As always, I'm very very proud of you as a professional, a daughter, and a mother. I do hope TFA is aware of what a jewel they are getting. I love you so much--Mom

Beth,
Congratulations! I still value our conversations during the task force work we shared a few years ago (and I still have the articles you found for us!) Your leadership and skills will now impact education across our country - by lives changed through these encounters. All the best!

Beth,
Congratulations on all your accomplishments at CASE. You are a leader, a big thinker, a doer and also someone who is able to develop deep and lasting relationships with people. There are not a lot of people that fit that description. TFA is lucky to have attracted you. I know you will be a success.
My best,
Ben
Beth,
Best of luck....Beth, I met you in the early days of Venture Philanthropy Partners and you were always helpful and supportive. You have made a wonderful choice in joining TFA. My daughter, Lauren is just finishing up her second year teaching for TFA in Brooklyn and I have tremendous respect for TFA's mission.
All the best....Gary Jonas
Beth,
It has been a real pleasure working with you and your colleagues over the last six years, and watching CASE grow into such an exciting and vibrant program. Congratulations on your outstanding work!

Beth,
Thanks for all of your wisdom & advice as a student as well as your efforts to connect me with people in the world of K-12 education post-MBA. Welcome to my world :)

Beth-
You've made a tremendous, positive, and lasting impact here at Fuqua and have been an inspiration to a great many people with your energy and devotion. We've been blessed by your dedication. I will miss you greatly, but I know we will stay in touch. Thank you for all you have done. It's a real privilege to call you a friend.
- Mike
Beth,
I still marvel at how fortunate I was to not only land at Fuqua with CASE, but to have you as a boss. You quickly turned into a mentor and friend and I will always look back at my time there and with you as one of my best work/life experiences. Aside from your obvious attributes (your public speaking ability--I mean, you never stumble or say "uh", uncanny--your ridiculous memory, brilliance, etc.) I was and continue to be inspired by your passion and desire to make things better. Thanks for being one of "those people", the ones that are so fun to be with, fun to watch professionally, and that make getting together seem like no time has passed at all. All the best.

Beth –
It was an honor and privilege to be your student and work with you during my two years at Fuqua. Your ability to balance your vision and support for student engagement with the long-term development of CASE was truly exceptional and much appreciated. Thank you for all the times you made yourself available to listen, advise and help with my ideas and questions. Thank you also for all the opportunities you provided me and others to interact with leading social entrepreneurs. My time at Fuqua far exceeded my expectations, and your leadership at CASE had a lot to do with it. I wish you the best with TFA and look forward to seeing how your new team will benefit from your involvement.
Until we meet again –
Tom Mitchell
Beth!!!! I'm so excited for you and know that you will make a huge difference at Teach for America. That sounds like an absolutely fabulous position. If you're ever in Bentonville, Arkanas, please stop by for a visit. -- Sharon (Flynn) Piech '01, Bill Piech '02, and little Jason Piech class of TBD
